HAbLAbMusic

HAb appears to be an interdimensional entity that communicates cosmic wisdom and higher consciousness through sound frequencies, rhythms and harmonies. In the early 1990s the HAb energy manifested itself to a man in Stockholm Sweden, inspiring him to channel it into electronic-based music. This initial session, mostly created in Brooklyn NYC, ultimately led to the creation of the 10-track debut album ”hab:maPod”, which was released by the Swedish label DOT in 1997.

HAbLAbMusic is a collection of HAb music featuring various collaborations, remixes, vinyl and merchandise available for purchase at Bandcamp.

The vinyl is cut at Simmer Down in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The sleeve is also made in Gothenburg – at Hemp Records – and is crafted from organic hemp-paper with sewn edges.

We are proud to announce our first release on HabLAbMusic: the epic sci-fi noir piece Dechaxorg Part One. (HAbLAb 001).

We are also making Dechaxorg available in physical format – a vinyl 10″ disc (also known as a dub plate), lathe-cut by our partners at Simmer Down GBG. The sleeve is tailored by Hemp Records, another partner we are proud to work with on this release. This sleeve is not only eco-friendly, being made from non-toxic bleached hemp pulp but is also ”hand-sown” – not glued – using organic cotton thread, giving a unique one-of-a-kind look and feel.

HabLAbMusic is a label set up to record and promote the music of Hans Carlsson, aka Hab. We will also be adding artist-remixes and other original works that fall into synch with the intentions of the label.

Experiments have been proceeding for years in the laboratories of the HAbLAbMusic building in its secluded setting in the heart of Scandinavia.

Hemp Record’s hemp sleeves align with our aim to use globally sustainable products as much as possible in the process of releasing music.
